74. Deputy Neasa Hourigan asked the Minister for Transport the number of tests that have been undertaken under the commercial vehicle roadworthiness regulations or any other relevant regulations for 2022, 2023 and 2024; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38712/24]

The operation of the commercial vehicle roadworthiness testing (CVRT) system under the Roadworthiness (Vehicle Testing) (No. 2) Regulations 2013 (SI 347/2013) is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority. CVRT is carried out at 148 authorised CVRT centres, which are run by private operators under agreement with the RSA.

Information on the number of CVR tests undertaken in 2022 and 2023 is available at www.cvrt.ie/en-US/CVRT-Statistics/.

The number of CVRT tests undertaken in 2024 to 31 August are detailed below.
