418. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection if a review into eligibility for household benefits can be undertaken in the case of a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [41553/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Household Benefits Package comprises of the electricity or gas allowance, and the free television licence. Only one Household Benefits Package is payable per household. The payment is made on a monthly basis.
The person concerned is in receipt of the Household Benefits Package since 2009. We recently issued out a communication to the customer and we are awaiting for this to be returned to the Department. In the meantime, her Household Benefits Package has been re-instated. There has been no delay to her payments.
I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
