523. Deputy Claire Kerrane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of farmers in Roscommon and Galway who are still awaiting payment under ACRES; the date on which balancing payments will issue to participants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [41582/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraThere are 496 Galway farmers and 164 Roscommon farmers whose 2023 ACRES balancing payment remains to be finalised.
Balancing payments in respect of participation in ACRES in 2023 started to issue in mid-June 2024. Payments have now been finalised for 91% of participants, with as many as possible of the remainder to be paid before 2024 advance payments commence.
