Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Health the number of civil servants, by grade, in his Department who were on a career break in 2023 and 2024; the number of those who in 2023 and 2024 were on a career break of five years or more; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In 2023 we had one person who had a career break of 5 years who resigned in 2023.
In 2024 we had two officers who had a career break of 5 years, one of them resigned and one returned to work in 2024.
