553. Deputy Barry Heneghan asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the funding available for community sports facilities and recreational spaces; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3607/25]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department operates two capital funding programmes for sport, the Community Sport Facilities Fund (CSFF) and the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund (LSSIF).
Cumulative investment from the LSSIF since 2020 now stands at €297 million, while over a quarter of a billion euro was allocated to community sports clubs and facilities from the CSFF in 2024. This funding represents the largest-ever investment in sports facilities in communities across Ireland.
In line with previous rounds of the CSFF, a review of the current funding round will be undertaken and that review will inform the details of the next round of the CSFF.
