As Minister for Health I visited Beaumont Hospital briefly on the morning of Tuesday 18thMarch. The purpose of the visit was to meet the staff working in the Emergency Department, to discuss their experience during the St Patrick's Bank Holiday weekend and the progress being made by the hospital on trolley numbers and weekend activity. I have not yet visited Beaumont Hospital on any further occasion as Minister but hope to do so as soon as possible.
