183. Deputy Brian Stanley asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if he or his Department has had any contact from the US administration or the White House on a political level seeking the removal or dissolving of the triple lock in Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. High-level political engagement with the US administration continues to be a priority for the Government and many topics of interest are raised in bilateral meetings. However, there has been no contact from the US administration or the White House at a political level with me or my Department on the question of the Triple Lock.
