Deputy Holly Cairns asked the Minister for Transport how the estimated time to car test invite statistics are compiled by the RSA; whether his attention has been drawn to significant disparities in the times reported on the CSO website and the waiting period in reality (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraUnder the Road Safety Authority Act 2006, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has statutory responsibility for the National Driver Testing Service and the information requested relating to the compilation of statistics on the CSO website is held by the Authority.
I have referred the Deputy's question to the RSA for direct, detailed reply and I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
