258. Deputy Conor D. McGuinness asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to provide an update on the progress of the affordable housing and social housing scheme in Ardmore, County Waterford, including expected timelines for delivery, number of homes and current status of planning and procurement. Amharc ar fhreagraA proposal for a mixed tenure development at Tober Ciúin, Ardmore, Co Waterford was received by my Department from Waterford City and County Council. The proposal, which will deliver twenty social housing units, aligned with the Council’s housing needs assessment was approved by my Department on 20 February 2024. Following receipt of approval, Waterford City and County Council tendered for the contract to deliver this project and are currently assessing the tender applications received.
I understand the development is expected to be completed in 2027.
