Deputy Ruairí Ó Murchú asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Defence if he will provide an update on the progress being made in relation to an Army pensions case (details supplied); if he will consider an administrative interim solution to the issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Secretary General has written directly to the person in question in relation to this matter and proposed interaction with the Department of Social Protection.

I am continuing to liaise with my officials on this issue to see what further options are available.
