Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation to provide, in relation to commercial semi-State bodies which are permitted to undertake their own borrowing, a list of those semi-State bodies, along with their current borrowing limits, their current total borrowings and the source of these borrowings, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI do not hold the primary Ministerial responsibility for the borrowing capacity for any of the Commercial Semi State Bodies (CSSBs) and I am therefore unable to provide the deputy with the information she has requested.
It is usually a matter for the Government Department under whose aegis responsibility for individual CSSBs falls to respond to such enquiries. The Deputy might seek to refer this question to my Ministerial colleagues who hold responsibilities for the oversight of CSSBs.
