154. Deputy Conor D. McGuinness asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of applications for horse passports currently outstanding, by passport issuing organisations, to provide a breakdown, by county, in tabular form. [34657/25]

Passport processing times are influenced by several factors. For the purpose of this question, an application is defined as a fully completed application where the applicant has carried out all necessary steps including the submission of a sample for DNA analysis. As of the 23rd of June 2025, 3,986 applications have been received across all 7 Passport Issuing Organisations (PIOs) so far in 2025 and 2,610 passports have been issued, leaving a balance of 1,376 passports yet to be issued.
As this information is deemed to be commercially sensitive the results are aggregated by PIO and the information is not available on a county basis.
