294. Deputy Maeve O'Connell asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science his views on the number of currently vacant positions on boards of management of aegis bodies under his Department. [36411/25]

Léargas
There are two vacancies on the board of Léargas which are currently being progressed via the Public Jobs process.
Higher Education Authority
There are currently two vacancies on the HEA Governing Board. One vacancy is for the Chairperson and the other is for an ordinary member of the HEA Board. Work is ongoing to fill these vacancies and an interim Chair has been appointed.
Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland
Taighde Éireann- Research Ireland was established on the 1st of January 2024. An interim CEO was appointed to support the transition and establishment of the new agency. A Board was appointed in 2024, and the Board is currently quorate. The two remaining vacancies on the Taighde Éireann- Research Ireland Board will be filled in the coming months.

The Board of Directors of Skillnet Ireland has a vacancy for a representative of the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC).
