Deputy David Cullinane asked the Minister for Health if the main CT scanner for radiation oncology at St. Luke’s is within or beyond its end of life; if there is a concern whether this machine will not be operational if it is turned off, and as such if it is left turned on 24 hours a day; her plans for replacing all equipment at St. Luke’s which is beyond or nearing end of life; the budgetary requirements for same and the sanctioned budget for replacements; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
