906. Deputy Martin Kenny asked the Minister for Health if food that is recalled for reason of an outbreak of disease, or suspicion of an outbreak of disease, is disposed of; how it is disposed of; and if there is transparent oversight of its disposal. [51895/25]

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has overall responsibility for the enforcement of food law in Ireland; therefore, as this is an operational matter, I have asked the FSAI to reply directly to the Deputy.
