As Minister of State for International & Road Transport, Logistics, Rail & Ports, I wish to advise that section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 2002, as amended, provides that, where a person is charged in court with a road traffic offence, other than for specified exceptions, they are required to produce their driving licence or learner permit to a court official. The Court shall record whether or not the licence or permit was produced and, where it was produced, the details specified on it.
