275. Deputy Emer Currie asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality to provide details on the NCS evaluation; to outline how parents, educators and representative organisations can make contributions to the evaluation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [55874/25]
Amharc ar fhreagraThis year the Department will commence an independent evaluation of the National Childcare Scheme (NCS). This evaluation will examine how the Scheme has performed to date and will identify any potential enhancements to further support families and improve affordability.
The process will include extensive stakeholder consultation with parents, providers and representative groups, as well as a comprehensive review of national and international research and best practice. These steps will ensure that any future developments are well-informed, and evidence based.
