Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) is Ireland’s national awarding authority for further and higher education grants. SUSI offers funding to eligible students in approved courses at PLC, undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Ireland and in some cases, to students studying in the UK or EU.

My Department is also responsible for covering both the Pay and Non-Pay operational costs associated with SUSI.

The following table outlines the annual allocations for SUSI-related costs, including staff pay, operational expenses, and student grant funding for each of the years 2024 & 2025. The 2026 allocation has yet to be finalised.
