134. Deputy John Connolly asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of families currently in receipt of the working family payment; the number of recipients per family size; the average payment made per family, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [62172/25]

Working Family Payment is a weekly in-work support which provides an income support for employees on low earnings with children.  To qualify for Working Family Payment, the customer must be working a minimum of 38 hours per fortnight in ongoing insurable employment and have at least one qualified child who normally resides with them.

Please see below table provided with breakdown of Working Family Payment recipients by family size and average weekly rate of payment at the end of October 2025.
