728. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of persons on disability allowance and invalidity benefit; and the percentage of the population. [63792/25]

There were 172,106 recipients of Disability Allowance in October 2025. The represents 3.2% of the total population, based an estimated 5,458,000 people from CSO's Population and Migration estimates. 4,073,700 people are estimated to be aged between 15 and 74 years old; Disability Allowance represents 4.2% of this target population.
