Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport if his Department has engaged with representatives of an organisation (details supplied) or any other group representing retired An Post employees in the past five years; and if he will provide the dates and purpose of such engagements. Amharc ar fhreagraI regularly receive representations from the organisation in question. My officials review all representations and I respond to the representations after due consideration of any points raised. Given the regular nature of these representations over the last number of years it would be impractical to set out the dates of the engagement, however in general, the representations from the group are in relation to the An Post Superannuation Scheme. It should be noted that operation of that scheme is a matter for the Scheme actuary, trustees, An Post Management and employee representatives.
