259. Deputy Pádraig Rice asked the Minister for Health the status of the 52 recommendations from the seven completed reviews into the care provided to women and their infants in Portiuncula Maternity Service; the timeline being worked towards for implementing these recommendations in full; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Portiuncula University Hospital (PUH) and their EMT have developed detailed quality improvement plans (QIPs) in response to recommendations made so far, with 230 individual actions against the 52 recommendations to date, of which 89% of the actions are now complete. Work to complete the outstanding actions will continue into 2026.
