531. Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Social Protection if his Department will provide assistance to person (details supplied) who is on a stamp 4 visa; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [70151/25]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe SAFE (Standard Authentication Framework Environment) registration process is the method used by my department to verify a person’s identity. On successful completion of this process, a person is issued with their Public Services Card (PSC) to access public services. The PSC can also be used to get a verified MyGovID account, which allows the person to access a range of online public services.
When the person concerned attended for their SAFE appointment, they did not have the required evidence and their SAFE registration could not be completed. The person was informed of the evidence necessary to complete the process.
The person has been contacted a number of times to provide the required information. On receipt of the outstanding necessary documentation the matter will be progressed.
