I propose to take Questions Nos. 735 and 737 together.

The Garda Commissioner is responsible for the management and administration of An Garda Síochána under section 33 of the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024. This includes all operational policing matters, including the allocation and deployment of Garda members to specialist units.

I am advised by An Garda Síochána that the below table outlines the Garda allocations in respect of Gardaí trained and currently deployed in specialist units for immigration, public order, serious and organised crime and cybercrime within Cork City and Limerick Garda divisions:

Cybercrime is a national unit which is attached to Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau.

With regard to public order policing, I understand that Gardaí are trained in public order and are deployed from across the organisation for operational requirements when the need arises.
