Deputy Seán Canney asked the Minister for Health if she will appoint a consultant to deal with ME as there is currently no public consultant available in this speciality; if she will list ME on the long-term illness scheme given many ME patients are paying for prescribed drugs outside the medical card scheme and are also paying for prescribed supplements; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
