452. Deputy Joe Cooney asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht the number of WTE qualified architect and structural engineers employed by his Department in 2024 and to-date in 2025, in tabular form. [72773/25]
Amharc ar fhreagraI can confirm that the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht does not employ any architects or structural engineers. The Department does not have a requirement for these skillsets as it does not deliver capital works directly, with the majority of our schemes delivered through local authorities. The Department does, however, have a qualified quantity surveyor and a civil engineer who assist in oversight of project planning and delivery.
