Funding of €3 million was made available in Budget 2026 to provide for enhanced School Leadership with additional Deputy Principals in primary and post primary schools for the 2026/27 school year. Work is currently underway on these arrangements, and full details will be set out in the annual teacher allocation circulars to be published in Spring 2026.
