Carer's Allowance (CA) is a means-tested social assistance payment made to a person who is habitually resident in the State and who is providing full-time care and attention to a child or an adult who has such a disability that as a result they require that level of care.

I can confirm that the Social Welfare Appeals Office decision in relation to the applications for CA by the person concerned were made on 21 November 2025 and were referred back to the Department for implementation. During the implementation process, the Deciding Officer noted that the person concerned had notified the Department of a change in their circumstances. On foot of this notification, an information request issued to the person on 15th December 2025. Once this information is received, the matter will be dealt with immediately and the person will be notified directly.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
