Dáil Éireann Debate, Tuesday - 13 January 2026
1262. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Education and Youth if her Department is using artificial intelligence tools for any graphic design or similar work in place of artists, designers or videographers; and, if so, to outline which projects or units of the Department are affected. [2244/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraAt present, my Department is not using artificial intelligence (AI) tools in place of artists, designers, or videographers.
The IT function is using an AI-enabled generative text-to-video service to create reusable, on-demand training assets focused on system functionality, to augment training materials for the Online Claim System (OLCS) and the Case Management System (CMS)
The Department continues to assess the suitability of AI on a solution-by-solution basis.
