Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration the salary scale that applies to the Secretary General in his Department and to the head of each agency for which they are responsible; whether this scale has changed in the past two years or whether there are proposals to change this scale in the coming period; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe salary for the Secretary General of my Department is Secretary General Level II (non-PPC). It is a single point salary scale. Details of the remuneration are set out annually in my Department’s Appropriation Account published by the Comptroller and Auditor General on audit.gov.ie.
This salary, and those set out below, increased in line with the terms of the 2024-2026 Public Service Pay Agreement and further pay increases will be applied this year under that agreement.
Details of the remuneration of the heads of agencies under the aegis of my Department are published in their Annual Reports and Financial Statements in keeping with the business and financial reporting requirements of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies.
The information requested by the Deputy in relation to salary scales of the heads of the agencies under the aegis of my Department is set out in the table below.
