Amharc ar fhreagraThe Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024, which I commenced on Wednesday 2 April 2025, provides for the establishment of Local Community Safety Partnerships (LCSP) within each local authority area. The regulations for these Safety Partnerships came into operation on Monday 30 June, and 36 Partnerships are in the process of being established in local authority areas across the country. To date, I have appointed members to 33 Local Community Safety Partnerships.
I appointed the first members to Dublin South Central Local Community Safety Partnership on 11 December 2025. Whilst members have been appointed, the Local Community Safety Partnership structure has not yet been formally established. I understand that they will hold their inaugural meeting, which will complete the establishment process, on 21 January 2026.
Details of the membership of each Local Community Safety Partnership will be published by the relevant local authority.
