As the Deputy will be aware, daa has statutory responsibility to operate, manage and develop Cork Airport. As such, the management of car parking including the setting of prices is a matter for daa and I have no role in this area. I have however sought information on the question you have raised from daa.

In this regard, Cork Airport has confirmed that parking charges at the airport have recently been increased and that the changes reflect the significant increase in operational costs experienced across the aviation and wider business sectors, including rising insurance premiums, energy and staffing costs.

Cork Airport has advised that it remains committed to providing value for money and a high-quality experience for all its passengers and has advised that one week parking on its long term car park which is circa 5 mins walk from the terminal is available online for €70 this summer.  I am informed by Cork Airport that this is broadly in line with charges at other regional airports.

Finally, Cork Airport has advised that it will continue to monitor its pricing to ensure it remains fair, transparent, and competitive, while also supporting the ongoing investment in its facilities and services.
