Deputy Claire Kerrane asked the Minister for Health her views on whether given the relatively low number of advance paramedics, it is appropriate and necessary that they continue to be recruited in large numbers to teach paramedic students; if they might be more needed on the front line where their skills and expertise can impact service delivery and patient care; the rationale for the current position; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
