Deputy Paul Donnelly asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if her Department will run a recruitment campaign during Q1 seeking fluent English to Spanish translators and English to Italian translators for temporary positions within her Department for the duration of the Irish Presidency of the EU. Amharc ar fhreagraDuring Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Presidency website and social media channels will serve as the main public sources of information and news on all matters relating to the Presidency. Material will be available in Irish, English and French.
To support work on this project, temporary positions for translators will be filled to work as part of the Department's Presidency Communications Unit.
As material will not be published in either Spanish or Italian, the need for temporary translator positions in respect of these languages does not arise.
