The National Regeneration Programme targets the country’s most disadvantaged communities. Generally, the programme supports the regeneration of local authority estates and flat complexes, with funding for projects that rejuvenate the built environment through a mixture of remedial and refurbishment works; demolition, construction and retrofitting of dwellings; and, improvements to the public realm. Social regeneration activities are also funded through the programme, typically supporting communities in the relevant regeneration areas for the duration of each project .
