The Sea Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) has statutory responsibility for seafood safety controls and the enforcement of seafood safety law. The SFPA is also the competent authority for the export certification of Irish seafood.

I have referred the Deputy’s question to the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority and have requested that they respond directly to the Deputy.
