315. Deputy Malcolm Byrne asked the Minister for Defence the extent to which her Department examines third party supply chain vulnerability when it comes to cybersecurity. [9445/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department manages its third-party supply chain using a risk-based approach. Information and cybersecurity requirements are embedded within procurement contracts and proportionate to the Department’s security posture and the sensitivity of the information involved.
With the introduction of NIS2, the EU-wide legislation on cyber security, my Department is reviewing its third party risk management arrangements to ensure compliance with the forthcoming legislation.
