My Department has a canteen facility located in our offices in 23 Kildare Street. I understand the majority of meat products (Beef, Pork and Lamb) are 100% sourced from Irish suppliers. A portion of the poultry served in the canteen is sourced from Belgium and the Netherlands. I am advised that the need for poultry sourced from the EU is due to high demand on Irish sourced poultry.
