179. Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Defence for an update on the funding allocated to infrastructure projects at Haulbowline Naval Base in Cork, as outlined in the recently published Strategic Framework; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12488/26]

As Minister for Defence I am pleased to tell the Deputy that a number of projects in Haulbowline Naval Base in Cork were included in the Strategic Framework. These projects, representing a total investment of over €19 million, are at various stages of the procurement pipeline from design, planning and construction to substantial completion; are as follows :

• New Storage Facility for 76mm Gun System

• Block 9 (office) refurbishment

• Dredging (of harbour basin)

• Modular Accommodation

The Deputy may also wish to note that, in addition the following key infrastructure development projects for Haulbowline are also planned for delivery in the current Infrastructure Development plan.

• Waste Water Treatment Plant

• Remediation of ISPAT site

• New Gym and Sports Hall

• Old Comms Building Fire Repair & Upgrade

• Cadets Mess - internal alterations and refurb

• ISPAT Site Development - New Entrance / Security Access

• Additional berthage - West Wall, Graving Dock

• Main Workshops Dockyard

• Additional berthage and associated works

• Block 6 – Accommodation.

• Block 10 – Office Accommodation
