Disabled parking permits are available to people living in Ireland whose mobility is severely restricted, whether they are drivers or passengers, as well as to those who are registered blind. The scheme is administered by the Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland and the Irish Wheelchair Association.
Neither I nor my Department have any role in the day-to-day administration of the scheme or the processing of permits. Accordingly, I cannot intervene in, nor comment upon, any individual case.
