Deputy Roderic O'Gorman asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the projects, if any, which he has designated under s.20 of the Future Ireland Fund and Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund Act 2024; the dates of their designation; and to supply a copy of the designations. Amharc ar fhreagraAs outlined in the Programme for Government 2025, there was a commitment to fully fund the Future Ireland Fund (FIF) and the Infrastructure, Climate, Nature Fund (ICNF) as set down in legislation.
The review of the National Development Plan in July last year encompassed all public capital investment, including that available from the ICNF. My Department's National Development Sectoral Plan 2026-2030 sets out a new five-year capital allocation, with an allocation of €1.625 billion of public funding.
The Department did not receive any funding under Section 20 of the Future Ireland Fund and Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund Act 2024.
