My Department provides funding to a range of organisations including community and voluntary sector organisations. In 2025, this funding amounted to €66.3 million across various funding streams, including in areas of responsibility which transferred to my Department from the Department of Children, Disability and Equality in May 2025.

The organisations funded provide vital services in many areas across the justice sector including youth justice services, crime prevention, supports for victims of crime, migrant integration and community safety.

I am informed that, in 2025, Cuan, the Domestic, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (DSGBV) Agency had a total budget of approximately €66 million. Of this, circa €58 million related to core funding allocated to DSGBV services.

The Probation Service works with a network of Community Based Organisations (CBOs) across the country. They provide essential services to help clients address their offending behaviour as well as supporting sustainable change and integration. The Probation Service budget for community organisations in 2025 was €21 million.

Finally, The Irish Prison Service provides funding to organisations supporting prisoner services, resettlement, family supports, addiction counselling, Traveller initiatives, and community-based programmes. In 2025, this funding totaled €5.3 million.
