The CLÁR programme provides funding under a number of different measures for small-scale infrastructural projects in designated rural areas. Last year I approved €14m million for 238 projects under the programme, with funding being provided for community facilities and amenities, community vehicles and specific support for island communities.

The measures for inclusion in the programme are reviewed and revised each year. The measures to be included in the 2026 CLÁR programme are currently under review and I expect to launch the 2026 programme in the coming weeks. Details in respect of the type of projects that will be eligible for funding will be confirmed at that stage
