Re-turn is responsible for all operational matters relating to the deposit return scheme, including sale of recyclate. On 25 July 2025, Re-turn published its annual report and financial statements for 2024 and a link to the document can be found here: www.re-turn.ie/re-turn-2024-annual-report/

In the annual report and financial statement, Re-turn provides comprehensive information relating to the scheme's performance in its first year of operation. The report indicates that income from the sale of material in 2024 was €17.2 million. 2025 figures are not yet available but will be published in Re-turn's 2025 annual report which is due mid-year.

Regulation 4 of the Separate Collection (Deposit Return Scheme) Regulations 2024 (S.I No. 33 of 2024) provides for how the scheme's operating costs are to be recouped. This includes revenue derived from the sale of returned in-scope bottles and containers.
