271. Deputy Paul Murphy asked the Minister for Defence further to Parliamentary Question No. 438 of 13 January 2026, when the information regarding the mean wait time for security clearance to be granted to reservists in the Defence Forces for each of the years 2021 to 2025, inclusive; and the number of applications for security clearances for reservists in each of those years will be available [14592/26]

A reply to previous Parliamentary Question No 438 of 13 January 2026 issued on 18 February 2026.

The Defence Forces has recently changed their applicant tracking system for recruitment which included figures on the Reserve Defence Forces, therefore, they cannot provide a complete return for the information requested in this PQ.

The Naval Service Reserve 2023 -2025 are provided below. However the Defence Forces cannot provide figures for 2021 or 2022.

Applications for the Army Reserve are managed by the individual brigades. One of the six Brigades could not provide any figures as they maintained all of their information on the previous Applicant Tracking System. All information provided for the other 5 Brigades is accumulated in the table below, however, this information is not complete.
