303. Deputy Grace Boland asked the Minister for Transport when the 47 electric buses for Galway and 65 electric buses for the Dublin area were received; the measures being taken to maintain the battery health of electric buses; the battery maintenance protocols applied by Bus Éireann, Dublin Bus and the National Transport Authority to prevent degradation if these buses are not in regular operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.

The queries raised by the Deputy are operational matters for Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann, and the NTA. I have, therefore, referred the Deputy's questions to the agencies for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
