Ceisteanna (651)

Colm Burke

Ceist:

651. Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration when an IRP renewal application will be processed and the IRP card issued (details supplied) given it is over ten-weeks since the application was submitted, and the applicant urgently requires a valid in-date IRP card when attending a Schengen visa appointment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can inform the Deputy that the application for the person cited has been approved. The person concerned can expect to receive their new Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card within 10-15 working days from the date of approval.

As an Oireachtas member, you can also request the status of individual immigration cases by e-mail, using the Oireachtas Mail facility at: IMoireachtasmail@justice.ie, which has been specifically established for this purpose. This service enables up to date information on such cases to be obtained without the need to seek information by way of the Parliamentary Question process.
