My Department operates a range of funding initiatives that aim to support rural development, community development and the Gaeltacht and the Irish language. Grant schemes include LEADER, the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF), the Community Centre Investment Fund (CCIF), the Town and Village Renewal Scheme (TVRS), the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS), CLÁR, the Local Improvement Scheme (LIS) and the Community Services Programme (CSP). My Department’s budget allocation for 2026 totals €611 million, with €273 million in capital funding and €338 million in current funding. This represents a 6% increase on the 2025 allocation, and builds on strong investment in recent years.
