Cathal Crowe

Ceist:

217. Deputy Cathal Crowe asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he will provide clarity on when the villages of Broadford and Cooraclare, County Clare, can expect to have their long-promised sewerage schemes constructed, commissioned and operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have approved a significant increase in funding under my Department's Multi-annual Rural Water Programme, for the Broadford and Cooraclare wastewater projects, to address both village’s collection and treatment needs.

My Department has written to Clare County Council clearly setting out what is required from them to progress the projects, and responsibility now rests with the Council, working with Uisce Éireann, to progress and deliver the projects in accordance with the approved funding.

Question No. 218 answered with Question No. 194.
