In line with policy commitments in Our Rural Future and Town Centre First, my Department implements a range of capital investment schemes under the Rural Development Investment Programme (RDIP) which support the regeneration of our rural towns and villages.

These include the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund, Town and Village Renewal Scheme, LEADER, Community Centre Investment Fund, CLÁR Programme and Local Improvement Scheme. Funding is allocated on a project-by-project basis and is delivered through local authorities and community organisations.

Note: Information is provided in respect of LEADER, but it is important to clarify that LEADER funding is allocated on a multi-annual basis for the entirety of the 2023-2027 programme, and therefore the figures provided relate to funding allocated for the entire 2023-2027 period, rather than 2023-2025. Projects are approved by Local Action Groups and then drawn down from the Department as these approved projects progress to completion across the programming period.
